Girl Scouts Have a New Cookie Treat for 100th Anniversary

The uniformed girls stand outside of local businesses and sell hundreds of boxes of their famous "Girl Scout Cookies" each year.

Thin Mints, Do-Si-Dos, Lemon Chalet, Tagalongs, Thank U Berry Munch or Shortbread cookies are household names that thousands have grown to love and anticipate.

To gear up the 1,000 Girl Scout members of Fort Campbell, Montgomery County and Stewart County for their cookie-selling campaign, local rallies have been held to get the children energized and motivated to sell boxes and boxes of sweet treats.

During the rallies, girls build skills while having fun with activities such as goal setting, marketing, technology and Girl Scout history. Each girl will be working to earn a "cookie" patch.

Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee covers 39 counties in Middle Tennessee, plus Fort Campbell, and serves more than 13,000 girls
