Girl Scout Night at the Nashville Sounds Game

Saturday night at Greer Stadium, more than 300 Girl Scouts cheered on the Nashville Sounds baseball team as they took on their interstate rival, the Memphis Redbirds. Girl Scout troops from all over Middle Tennessee were in attendance and participated in pre-game festivities. The girls marched in a parade on the field to start the evening, and Girl Scout troop 296 from Hendersonville shared their favorite part of being a Girl Scout with the crowd. Savannah Hall, a Girl Scout Senior from troop 296, sang the national anthem while other girls presented the colors on the field. Two Girl Scout representatives threw out the honorary first pitch along with other community representatives, and the Sounds’ mascot Ozzie was named an honorary Girl Scout for the evening. Following the game the girls pitched tents and camped out on the field. It was a perfect evening at the ballpark with beautiful weather, a full house and a 6-3 victory! Go Sounds! And thanks to all the Girl Scouts who participated in this event.
