On Dec. 3, Girl Scouts hosted a cookie rally at Bridgestone Arena in conjunction with the Nashville Predators game against the Buffalo Sabres. Girls arrived at the arena in the afternoon, created excitement for the 2011-12 cookie season, and were special guests for the Preds’ game. More than 700 girls, leaders and families were in attendance. Select dads of Girl Scouts got to watch pre-game warm ups from the penalty box, and a leader was also selected for a zamboni ride after the first period. Girl Scout troop numbers were listed on the megatron and a Girl Scout troop presented the colors for the game. Girls were heard throughout the arena cheering, “Go Preds!”
